Five young women unknowingly carry heroin into Singapore and face certain execution until evidence emerges of a high level political conspiracy.
The story opens witnessing the terror of five young women backpackers who are about to be hanged. Caught carrying heroin in Tibetan mementos bought on the Tissue Trail trek in Nepal. The case makes no sense but their guilt and death penalty is mandatory under Singapore law. Only a politically explosive explanation will give the women even the faintest chance of survival.
Nothing helpful emerges until a medical researcher takes video footage of a high altitude salt caravan near the Tissue Trail on the Tibetan border. Surprisingly this innocent action leads to his detention and interrogation by border police in both Nepal and Singapore. Then people he has involved start to be murdered.
